First Semi-Final Reactions: Does Turkey Have a Skin Infection? And more. 0

The clip above captures reactions from Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Sweden, Armenia and Turkey following their semi-final performances on Tuesday. Things to take away:

(1) Montenegro was confident she would make the final. Oops. That makes Wiwi sad. You can see her hot Croatian backup dancer, whose identity remains a mystery, wearing a black wife beater in the background. That makes Wiwi happy.

(2) Gipsy.cz didn’t experience any anti-Roma prejudice backstage, but somebody was keeping them from their booze. According to lead rapper Radoslav Banga, who was drinking orange juice: “We are waiting for alcohol, but they don’t give us. We wanted a beer. We are from Czech Republic.”

(3) Belgium hopes that Belgians had a good time during his performance. (Wiwi did not.)

(4) Sweden’s Malena Ernman prefers the Eurovision crowd to the opera set, basically saying that bigger is better (dirty). She’s also humble: she was not sure if she would make the final.

(5) Armenia’s Inga gets all metaphysical: “We felt we were in the mountains high, high and far, far from here” and “felt a lot of people there.” Huh? Also, Wiwi isn’t sure if that was Inga or Anush speaking. Twelve points if you can figure it out. . .

(6) Turkey’s Hadise has apparently been battling a horrific skin condition that confined her to bed. ”I feel relieved because it has been a tough week for me,” the Dum Tek Tek singer said. “I’ve been very ill. I had these spots on my face which was very disgusting. I had to cancel a few things. I stayed in bed in my hotel room for three days. But it’s God’s miracle it’s gone. You can see it a little bit [pointing to disgusting spot on her face].”
