Update #2: Which Eurovision 2009 Song Are You Still Listening To? 2

Two weeks and 3,500 votes later, Wiwi’s ongoing poll to determine which Eurovision song fans are listening to the most has become a two-horse race (well, it’s three horses if you count Arash and Aysel separately). The Azeri duo (Always) have widened their lead to claim 51% of the overall vote. However, Lithuania’s Sasha Song (Love), who will perform live in London this week, has come from nowhere to claim second place with an impressive 23% of the vote. His momentum may well see him come out on top. Song moved ahead of Romania’s Elena Gheorghe (The Balkan Girls) who sits in third position with 9%.

Interestingly, as Wiwi reader “Andrei” pointed out, second-place Sasha and third-place Elena recently won Wiwi’s prestigious search for Eurovision’s Next Top Model and Eurovision’s Next Top Male Model. Does this mean a duo is in order? Wiwi hopes so. It could be called Love The Balkan Girls, which Wiwi does ; )
