One failed to make it past the Eurovision semi-finals in 2006. The other finished next to last in 2009. Can two wrongs make a right?
Belgium’s Kate Ryan and Spain’s Soraya may soon find out. In recent weeks the pair of blond “singers” have openly flirted with the idea of entering Eurovision as a duo.
Last week Soraya, the former flight attendant turned Spanish Eurovision contestant, wrote on Facebook that she would like to give Eurovision another go. Several weeks earlier, Kate Ryan publicly stated that if she and Soroya teamed up they would “no doubt win Eurovision.” Competition aside, Wiwi thinks the pair would be a total wet dream for male Eurovision fans.
Soraya and Kate share a record label and are reportedly good friends. It’s unclear which country–Belgium or Spain–they would represent. If one of them were from a former Soviet Republic this would be a no-brainer. Alas.
