UPDATE #3 NOW AVAILABLE

As of Saturday, April 3 at 5:30pm, more than 1,2o0 people have voted in wiwibloggs’ polls to determine who should win the semi-finals at Eurovision. Serbia’s Milan Stankovic remains in first place and has widened his lead over Slovakia’s Kristina. This week he claims 22% of all votes compared to Kristina’s 16%; last week Serbia had 21% compared to Slovakia’s 18%. Greece’s Giorgos Alkaios and Friends have climbed from fourth place into a tie for third place with Belarus’ 3 + 2. Both groups now claim 11% of all votes. Last week the second semi-final was incredibly close, with only 10 votes separating Azerbaijan’s Safura (in first last week) from Ukraine’s Alyosha (in fourt last week). This week, however, it’s a different story. Armenia’s Eva Rivas, perhaps the tallest contestant at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, has jumped into the lead with 22% of all votes; last week she only had 17%. Azerbaijan drops to second place with 15%, followed by Ukraine and Israel’s Harel Skaat in joint third (both claim 12% of all votes).

These results, coupled with betting odds released by several London-based agencies, suggest that Safura is losing some of her momentum. Once the odds-on favorite, she now trails Germany’s Lena.
