Denmark’s Chanée and Tomas N’Evergreen have been climbing up the bookies’ table for weeks. With that in mind, they’ve left their performance as it was at the Danish national final. There’s still the translucent screen that divides them, and there’s still the runway walk at the end with the reunited lovers holding hands. Fair enough: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

But there is one dubious addition courtesy of platforms that roll them across the stage (do you remember Sakis Rouvas’ routine last year?). In the Danish final, Chanée wore some killer heels. If she wears them again and there’s a mechanical glitch with these things, she might find herself getting cozy with folks in the first row. Thank goodness the Scandinavian welfare state provides such good health care.

Tomas comes off as a bit stiff. But if you do a Google Image Search and find the photos of him shirtless he comes to life real quick! Wooden Tomas even has a tattoo. Mmmm.

Thematically this act still reminds me of Kelly Clarkson’s “A Moment Like This” (the one she won the first season of American Idol with). But a duet makes the theme a bit more powerful. Blah, blah, blah. Go Denmark!
