It’s nice that Safura hired Beyoncé’s choreographer and that she released a preview of her official preview video. But now all that publicity seems to be biting her in the behind. After the extended build up, her first rehearsal was disappointing to say the least. I don’t want to blame her—she’s only a teenager, after all—so I’m going to point the finger at her team. First: what is up with that dress? She looks like an emu that’s been put through a blender. Second: the choreography comes straight from her Drip Drop video. We’ve seen it all before. Third: does she really need the shirtless ballet dancer sassing around? R&B and classical dance do not a relationship make. I have no doubt that she’s going to do well, but does this deserve to win? What do y’all think?

Safura is a kid of 17, give her credit she sings and performs well for her age. She doesn’t have the seasoned performance skills like some of the others that are older and have performed longer. She has a good future but I must say I am disturbed by all the hoopla and hiring of non-azeris to help her performance. The back up singers are fromt he USA, dress is designed by an Italian, choreography is by Beyonce’s staff. Lets use Azeri talent next time. It is mean to call her Asian, or whatever, but Azerbaijan, Kyrgzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Ubekistani… Read more »

No she should not win. It’s not Asiavision but Eurovision. She looks like a yellow Chinese woman (round face, high cheekbones, low nose bridge, chinese eyes…) and is very short. She is ugly to European standards. She can’t speak English and singing too bad as you can hardly understand her very bad English accent.

I agree. He campaign is become tiresome. I’m sick of it . I this will be in top10 but I don’t want it to win. This is not a money contest

I cant agree enough. This entry is horrible. And its not her who sings, its the back vocal who does the job. Plus, all the girls asking that poor gay dancer “Where have you been” is so inconsistent……Why didnt they send a male participant instead if they “REALLY” wanted to include a ballet dancer….and plus, those high heels, she was almost falling the first minute she started climbing down the stairs….So cranky!

I have never seen a nation organize internet campaignsand attempt to buy themselves a Eurovision victory like this before. I am wondering how the Eurovision viewers will react to this.

Even though I don’t want this predictable, ultra-polished and uber-calculated entry to win the contest (I’d find a german victory much more interesting, for example) I have to disagree with you on this one: I thought she had a splendid rehersal. I dread to say it’s possibly the best so far…

My question is this: shot from up close we can see the dancer is topless. Shot from further away it looks like he’s wearing a bluish vest. In every single shot!

Can somebody please explain?
