Meet Latvia’s Sarlote Lenmane 3
Georgia and Malta are currently leading’s Wiwi’s poll to determine who will win Junior Eurovision 2010. But Wiwi has a feeling that Latvia’s Sarlote Lenmane could be a real threat.
Her song “Viva La Danse” could do well at the adult Eurovision—and she’s just so ridiculously cute. Wiwi’s friends at escdaily.com uploaded the following interview with Sarlote. In it she confesses that she used to get nervous about singing, but now that she’s “grown up” she knows she “was born to be on stage.” She also says she’d like to have a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame and performs Tina Turner’s “Simply the Best.” Adorable.
Interview with escdaily.com:
Sarlote’s vocal teacher Livy actually auditioned to represent Latvia at the adult Eurovision a few times. Looks like she’s finally got her Eurovision ticket courtesy of Sarlote! You can see them being interviewed (in Latvian) on Latvian television below. Doesn’t Sarlote seem preternaturally mature?

I think there are three songs that could stand a good chance in the adult contest: Malta, Serbia, and Latvia. (Georgia too, in a Verka Serduchka style), and both Latvia and Serbia songs for this year Junior contest are actually better than the songs they sent to the adult one.
Mi favorite is Malta, but Latvia comes in a really close second.
