Tragedy in Iceland as Eurovision Semi-Finalist Dies 6
Sigurjón Brink, who was due to compete in the third semi-final of Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsin on January 29, died unexpectedly last night at his home in Garðabæ. Initial reports suggest that he passed away following a heart attack.
The 36-year old singer who went by the name “Sjonni” entered two songs in the Icelandic national selection contest in 2010. You can watch both performances below, along with an interview conducted by the Icelandic state broadcaster.

Brink performs “Waterslide” during the final of Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsin 2010. He qualified from the third semi-final, along with eventual winner Hera Bjork.
