Following the depressing sounds and disheveled look of Peter Nalitch in 2010, Russia has chosen a contestant who a) is upbeat and b) doesn’t look homeless. Aleksey Vorobyov will perform a song called “Get You”—which he’ll present on March 12. It was written by RedOne, who produced Lady Gaga‘s Poker Face. One look at Aleksey and you’ll know he’s a strong contender for Wiwi’s annual search for Eurovision’s Next Top Male Model.
Below you can check out two music videos and one live performance, along with an interview with RedOne. He’s pretty confident that the song he’s done for Aleksey will do well in Germany. “I can’t wait for us to conquer the world with an artist like Alexey,” he says. Wiwi hates swagger. Let’s hope he doesn’t fall on his face!
