Eldar & Nigar Release Official Video of “Running Scared”

In their original video of “Running Scared,” Ell & Nikki sat on white boxes and pretended to swim. in their new video, they frolic with a golden retriever and ride ski lifts. And while that doesn’t exactly scream passion and desire, it really does work with their romantic ballad.

According to Azerbaijan’s official Eurovision site, the new video seeks to “tell the romantic and sensual story of the song intertwined with backdrops of nature and coastal locations.” Super pretty. But the biggest improvement is that the duo appear to have gotten to know each other since the surprise announcement that they would both represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision. The Azeri site puts it far better than Wiwi can: “The growing musical chemistry between the two singers is clear to see and the results speak for themselves; proving that the decision to hold back before making the video was the right one.” (Basically Eldar now looks like he wants to get in Nigar’s pants).
