Eurovision 2011 Odds: France Now the Firm Favorite, Britain Passes Estonia 5

With the Eurovision final just two weeks away, the bookies have their ear to the ground and their eye on rehearsals. The latest set of odds show that France’s Amaury Vassili has become an even firmer favorite to win Eurovision 2011.

On March 31 the “Sognu” stood atop the leader board with his odds at 5. By May 2 his odds had improved to 10/3 at most agencies, and they continue to shorten (odds that are narrowing are pictured in blue; odds in red are widening).

Britain’s boy band Blue are also making a move. They’ve narrowed their odds from 7 back in March, to 13/2 today. That puts them ahead of Estonia’s Getter Jaani who sits just behind them. It’s important to note that some agencies put Getter ahead of or tied with the U.K.

Azerbaijan’s Ell & Nikki are the biggest climbers, having jumped from eighth position back in March to fourth position today.
