Philipp Kirkorov—he who makes appalling Eurovision covers—is used to giving audiences a scare. But a fan turned the tables on the 44-year old recently in Tashkent, Uzbekistan by touching Kirkorov’s gold-sequined cardigan when he wasn’t looking. The Russian diva let out an audible shriek, but magically the song went on and his voice kept streaming through the loudspeaker.
And while it’s probably embarrassing for Philipp to be exposed as a lip-syncher, it’s nowhere near as mortifying as the revelation last year that he had slapped an assistant and dragged her across the floor. Perhaps this video is part one in a long series of karmic paybacks. We hope so.
