Eurovision 2012 Logo and Slogan: “Light Your Fire!” 1

If the Baku 2012 slogan holds true, then we have a lot to look forward to this May.  The Azeri delegation came out at last night’s over-the-top ceremony promising to “Light Your Fire” at Eurovision 2012.

Azerbaijan is often referred to the Land of Fire, and tourism authorities frequently deploy symbols of flames on promotional materials and on buildings throughout the country. That’s extra-fitting for ESC because there will be plenty of new flames added to the fire when Wiwi Bloggs, Vebooboo Nadella and our gay Eurovision friends arrive in May!

Just like they did in their efforts to win Eurovision last year, the Azeris sought help from abroad—this time from London-based agency Turquoise.  The creators of the spicy slogan explain it this way: “Since the dawn of time, mankind has come together around fire to communicate through the telling of stories, song and dance. The Eurovision Song Contest is where people come together to celebrate and communicate through song and dance.” You can see all the images below!

We at WiwiBloggs.Com hope that the slogan does indeed come true.  It’s getting a bit cold here in the U.K.!
