Loreen’s Melodifestivalen entry ‘Euphoria‘ had all of Sweden dancing on February 4, 2012. Interestingly, Dunja Ilic—a Serbian singer—had all of the Balkans dancing to ‘Euforija’ one year earlier. We’re not suggesting that Loreen’s songwriters copied from Dunja’s, and we’re certainly not leveling accusations of plagiarism. But it is very interesting that, beyond a title, the songs also share a very similar chorus built around shouting “euphoria.” Great minds think alike….
