Israel’s Eurovision 2012 Contestant: It’s About ‘Time’! 2
It’s about time we heard from the Israelis! State broadcaster IBA has announced that an 11-member committee has internally selected the band Izabo to represent the country in Baku with the song ‘Time.’
Critics have described Izabo’s music as a “brilliant, action packed combination of psychadelic rock, disco, punk and Arabic spices.” Sounds complicated. But after listening to a few of their songs I would just call it “indie rock.”
Here’s a little taste of the band’s alternative sound. It’s a pretty cool tune but…not very Eurovision. However, we love their use of iPods in the video. Very clever.
