Latvia Chooses Anmary for Eurovision 2012. Bad Choice. 16
This just in: Latvia will be eliminated during the semi-finals of Eurovision 2012. That’s because this tiny nation made the BIG mistake of choosing Anmary with “Beautiful Song.” Anmary is real cute. Her song is not.
Voters were apparently seduced by her on-stage costumes changes. Taking a cue from Croatia’s Daria Kinzer from Eurovision 2011, Anmary strips three times during her performance—moving from a blue dress to a black one to a white one. How sad that a gimmick like this was enough to win….

I really like the Latvian song , yes the lyrics are…whatever, but the tune is very very catchy, give it a chance ! I also find the Israeli tune going round and round my tiny mind , must be good then. And last , despite my name I am Italian so no political affiliations there. Love to all

This song for me is the winer. I love you letter and music also. In second place is Zeljko Joksimovic with Nije Ljubav Stvar, i love that voice. without demerit the rest of the artists that there are many good, but these they are those that but I like.

The song is crap, well, same as the rest of them so I don’t really see the BIG mistake this tiny nation made as there was nothing to choose from in first place.
And I would go with Marie N (a winner of 2002, also happens to be Latvian) as “inspiration” for outfit change not some looser from last year…
And afterall this “competition” always has a rubbish music anyway.

Another embarrassing placing, no doubt. Firmly following in the footsteps of Aisha and Busulis. At least, Latvia is consistent. They haven’t qualified in the last 4 years.

Actually, if anyone cares to know, Music thief should have won, if you look at the votes of the folk. They SHOULD have won but didn’t, because of the jury- who were all musicians and gave them only a few points. I don’t get Latvians, though I am one. We had one funny song at last- and they don’t go because of the jury. Like- what!?
I won’t be watching Eurovision this year, that’s for sure. It will be soo embarassing. Last place for sure.
Meanwhile, downloaded Music thief and am listening to it. Imagining them on the Eurovision stage instead on Anmary- and it looks so much better. *laughs*

It’s not like they had that much of a chance. Maybe with “My World” or “I want you back”.
But you’re not actually telling us that Disco Superfly, Music Thief or that one with the girl standing on a cake would have any chance of qualifying.
