Bookies: Italy’s Nina Zilli Challenging Sweden’s Loreen As Favorite ¹³

If the bookies have it right, then Italy’s Nina Zilli will give Sweden’s Loreen a run for her money at Eurovision 2012. Nina’s odds to win hovered between 10 and 14 the last time we checked in. But this week her average at Britain’s 20 leading betting agencies has fallen to just 9/1 with her odds as low as 5/1 at some betting houses. Although Sweden’s Loreen remains the contestant to beat with average odds of 7/2, she’ll keep on working on her dance moves knowing that Italy is honing in.

Russia’s Buranovskiye Babushki are still in the race with average odds of 12/1 and sit in third position. Serbia’s Zeljko Joksimovic (15/1) and Britain’s Engelbert Humperdinck (17/1) have leapfrogged past Denmark’s Soluna Samay (19). They sit in fourth and fifth place, respectively, while the Dane has dropped to sixth. Spain, Iceland, Romania and Germany round out the Top 10. You’ll notice that Romania, Ireland, Germany and Norway all have odds of 26/1. Ties were broken by the number of betting agencies that ranked that country higher.
