Whew. Our polls are not a total sham, as you guys correctly predicted that Mikael Sari (“We Should Be Through”) and Diandra (“Colliding Into You”) would advance from the semi-finals of Finland’s National Selection.

Here are the complete results:

TO THE FINAL: Mikael Saari – We Should Be Through (Mikael Saari, Kai Poutanen, Tuomas Vertanen) – 38 points
TO THE FINAL: Diandra – Colliding Into You (Sharon Vaughn, Patrick Sarin, Leri Leskinen, Janne Oinas, Leri Leskinen) – 32 points

SECOND CHANCE: Iina Salin – Last Night (Iina Salin, Tommi Gröhn) – 29 points
SECOND CHANCE: Last Panda – Saturday Night Forever (Last Panda, Henry Tikkanen, Aapo Immonen) – 27 points
SECOND CHANCE: Rautakoura – Ilmalaivalla / Board On Air (Lauri Häme, Rautakoura) – 26 points

ELIMINATED: Ilari Hämäläinen – Sytytä Mut Vaan / Light Me Up (Ilari Hämäläinen) – 21 points

Mikael, who won last night’s heat, has a great voice. But I find his ballad a bit too same-same, kind of like Pernilla’s number from 2012. I was more interested in his Sarah Lund sweater than I was in his song. What do you think? Did the right winners go through?

@Wiwi Bloggs
Digital Spy has released this statment few hours ago:
“Girls Aloud’s PR firm Supersonic PR have denied reports that they have been approached for the competition, tweeting: “The story isn’t true”.”

So it’s NOT Girls Aloud for the U.K. this year!

Both good songs, sung with appropriate style and feeling.
The others were also good, but the strongest two won.
