A few days ago the team at wiwibloggs asked y’all who should win Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2013, and Emmelie de Forest has come out as the clear winner.
She earned more than one in four of all votes with her song “Only Teardrops,” which mixes folk with easy listening and River Dance (I swear it sounds kind of Eurovision Ireland from the early 90s). Anyway, you can listen to her song below and then view the complete results.

Well, well, I’m so glad that I was wrong! Emmelie was above and beyond my favorite of the night and thus far there’s no competition in my personal rankings for the number one spot. Well done Denmark!
The poll is right again; picking the top three, and their relative popularity, with Emmelie well ahead in the public vote and the other two being close.
I also want Emmelie De Forest to win but if Mohamed or Simone I think Denmark would have a good chance of being in the top 15 of the final. But I love Emmelie’s voice and Only Teardrops should do very well tonight!
I think the winner will be Mohamed, Brinck or Simone, unfortunately. Out of those three I really hope that it’s not Brinck or Simone.
I think “Only Teardrops” is the one to represent Denmark at ESC, because it’s something unique, something that stands out of all the other songs in MGP. Her voice is very good and she’ll do an exceptional job on stage tonight, I hope so…:). So, good luck Emmelie! 🙂

But I don’t see why the Danish public would prefer “Only Teardrops” so strongly over the others, if at all. I expect it to be close, and would not be surprised by any winner from the top four in this poll.
