Spying on you undercover, drinking coffee with your mother
Am I getting closer?
Baby, I feel like a sinner, skipping dinner to be thinner
Where is my proposal?

I’m your slave and you’re my master
Oh baby, come on, take your shot

So marry me, I’ll be your queen bee
I love you endlessly
I do it for you, for you, for you
Yeah, I do it for you, marry me, baby

I’ll play your game, I’ll change my last name
I’ll walk the walk of shame
I do it for you, for you, for you
Yeah, I do it for you, marry me baby

Oh oh, oh oh oh, ding dong
Oh oh, oh oh oh, ding dong

I know where the future’s heading, I can see my perfect wedding
Isn’t that just bracing?
I don’t think that I know ladies who will give you cuter babies
Isn’t that amazing?

I’m your slave and you’re my master
Oh baby, come on, take your shot

So marry me, I’ll be your queen bee
I love you endlessly
I do it for you, for you, for you
Yeah, I do it for you, marry me, baby

I’ll play your game, I’ll change my last name
I’ll walk the walk of shame
I do it for you, for you, for you
Yeah, I do it for you, marry me, baby

Oh oh, oh oh oh, ding dong
Oh oh, oh oh oh, ding dong
Oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh, ding dong
Oh oh, oh oh oh, ding dong

This is the day, I don’t wanna wait much longer now
If you run away, I’m gonna find you anyhow
Oh, yeah, yeah, oh yeah
Whatchu waiting, whatchu waiting
Whatchu waiting, whatchu waiting for?

So marry me, I’ll be your queen bee
I love you endlessly
I do it for you, for you, for you
Yeah, I do it for you, marry me, baby

I’ll play your game, I’ll change my last name
I’ll walk the walk of shame
I do it for you, for you, for you
Yeah, I do it for you, marry me, baby

Oh oh, oh oh oh, ding dong
Oh oh, oh oh oh, ding dong
Oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh, ding dong
Oh oh, oh oh oh, ding dong

Krista was fantastic on the final, I thought it would win as it was the most catchy tune, got stuck in my head for days and she has a great voice and looks beautiful…what does my country offer? Bonnie Tyler and a depressing song. If the song by Krista was in the UK charts I would buy it!

I didn’t like this song at first, I wished Mikael would’ve won (thank goodness Diandra didn’t win), but after listening to it a few times… I’m actually quite confident of my country. It’s catchy and clear, it’s not a stupid song, and while being a “typical” dance song with happy attitude, this one still stands out from many else. So I say, GO FINLAND, for once I believe in you! <3 HYVÄ ME!

What’s with the whining. We chose this song cause we like it. It’s a fun party song and Krista is great. Eurovision isn’t exactly famous of its musical qualities. It is a party and a show. And considering this, Krista was, and is, the best choice. And no one has stolen anything from anyone. You can listen to Mikael’s “gem” all you like. Buy his album (no doubt there will be one) and support him if you think he’s so great.

I really wish people didn’t blame a whole country for the result, with comments like “BOOOOOOOOOOOO to Finland” and “Finland have robbed us of this gem”… To a Finn like me who voted for Mikael Saari and is utterly devastated that he didn’t win, that kind of comments truly add an insult to injury! There are so many of us who didn’t want to send Krista, but as she got more votes at the end, what can we do…

The lyrics are funny!!!
This sort of entries give us hopes that our favorites (have none for the moment…) will get right at the top.

At least she can hold a tune. Its a fun song, though I thought Colliding into you wouldve been an easy choice. Not too fussed I dont mind it. Should easily make the finals

Appalling. I assume its meant to be a joke entry but its not in the least funny. deserves a 0 point tally

A credible choice given the options.
While Mikael’s song was better, it was also subtler. Less accessible than “Kuula”, less extreme than “Suus”; I doubt it had as much potential to gain wider support.

However, I’m dreading the sociopolitical commentary/apologetics people will feel compelled to inject into future discussions of “Marry Me.”

Of course I’m very disappointed they withheld such a distinctive quality act from ESC in favour of generic pop. I hope another country steps into the gap, just to rub their noses in it.

@ B

I agree with everything you have said – Finland will probably do quite well given their draw, and whilst not being my cup of tea, it is still a fun and polished act. Also, you have forgotten to mention Paradise Oskar in 2011 – he was a Swede as well!

Enjoy an early exit Finland! Mikael was such an obvious choice. They need to stop choosing what they would vote for in ESC and vote for what would actually do well. Shame that another great song will be thrown in the ESC archives to be forgotten.

I think she deserved it. It’s catchy, whether you like it or not. I would have rather seen Mikael or Diandra win over her but it is what it is. We have to remember that this will likely stand out amongst a sea of ballads and simplistic songs in the first half of the second semi-final, where Finland is competing in (Iceland has a ballad, possibly Azerbaijan given their record, most like Latvia considering that Samanta seems to be the favorite, Malta and San Marino although it apparently becomes uptempo at the end, somehow). I do think that the Finland-Swedes… Read more »

What a poor choice. Two words for you Finland: Silvia Night.

My favorite NF song lost (Mikael) and that’s unforgivable! 🙂

BOOOOOOOOOOOO to Finland.

In short – no. The song was tacky and irrelevant and the stage presentation was completely over-done. But mainly because Mikael Saari deserved to win instead. I’m sad that Finland have robbed us of this gem :(.
