So Wiwi just listened to all ten songs competing to win Eesti Laul—the Estonian national selection. It’s a bad sign that the only song he can still remember involves men dressed in leather literally shrieking. Sigh. It’s with a heavy heart that we now ask you, our dear readers, to vote for your favorite in this disappointing field.

You can listen to each entry below and then cast your vote for your favorites. You can vote for as many contestants as you would like, but you can only vote ONE time, so be sure to tick the box next to everyone you wanna support before pressing submit. This poll closes on March 1—one day before the Estonian national final.

Winny Puhh – Meiecundimees uks Korsakov laks eile Latti

If you have a leather fetish, this might turn you on. If you have ears, it will likely turn you off. I’m struggling to remember the melody as this is just one loud rant.

Teele & Tuuli & Ula – Ring The Alarm

Teele & Tuuli & Ula want to be “your rock ‘n roll queen.” Unfortunately there are three of them so they are going to have to eat each other first until one emerges victorious. They have soul and know how to work the all-black look, but the song just doesn’t go anywhere for us.

Grete Paia – Paastke noored hinged

Looks like she ripped those shoulder tassels from Michael Jackson’s cold hands. She’s got a lovely voice and tons of depth, but this song just isn’t exciting. Eurovision needs a song, not a lullaby.

Elina Born – Enough

This could totally be on the soundtrack to a soppy teen movie, except for the line “a happy end always follows”, which seems like it’d be in a movie about a Thai bath house. Anyway, this song is cute, but doesn’t have enough OOMPF for ESC. Next.

Korsikud – Suuda öelda ei

Love their sound, but they need to enter a folk festival and not the Eurovision Song Contest. You can’t pair this with a sequin top.

Liisi Koikson & Söörömöö – Ule vee

Loved her voice, particlarly in the intro. But this song totally lost me when the drums and trumpet came in. We went from mystic and exciting 2013 to a cheap jazz bar in the 80s. Needs to go.

Birgit Oigemeel – Et uus saaks alguse

Another bland ballad. I started looking for flight prices to Malmo while this was playing and totally forgot it was on. EasyJet fares should not be more interesting than an ESC entry!

Rolf Roosalu – With U

Can he please stop whining? Winge, winge, winge. Needs to go.

Rasmus Rändvee & Facelift Deer – Dance

I’m liking the Franz Ferdinand vibe, but I wish this had a stronger melody.

Pohja-Tallinn – Meil on aega veel

In case you didn’t know, you should only rap in English. It just sounds silly otherwise. Sorry. To their credit, I do love the backing. It totally gets stuck in my head and has that easy, fall-on-the-ears quality of Anmary’s “Beautiful Song”.

So, you think all songs are crap! I wonder what a song has to have for you to be a good one! lol

Winny Puhh FTW!! Authentic hard-core punk that will frighten the life out of the schlager-loving OGAE crowd 😀

I also really like Facelift Deer and Liisi Koikson & Söörömöö

Oh, right. I listened to these yesterday but forgot.
Luckily, I left a mental note — “Umlauts.”

Liisi Koikson & Söörömöö – Ule vee
The most competitive of these acts inspire indifference at best. Why not accept it and send something that is at least good in its own way?

Perhaps another act could scrape into the final, but it hardly seems worth it.
