After watching Despina Olympiou’s live chat on Eurovision.tv, Team Wiwi were curious to read the lyrics to “An Me Thimáse”—Cyprus ESC 2013 song. Despina said it’s a song about love and loss, and really seemed to speak from the heart when she said she understood what it’s like to lose the one you want most. Awwww. She also said she’s in love now, so no worries!

Anyway, listen to Despina’s entry below and then let us know what you think!

Greek lyrics:
English translation — “If you remember me”

If your remember me

For all I have lived, I never have regrets
For all I loved, I seek no pardon
For all I want, I make my soul take off
And for all you’ve given me, I thank you

If you remember me,
Tell me if I will see you again
I wait for you
I will always be there for you

For all that united two hearts in one
For all we felt together, I miss you
And I will be there for your hardest goodbye
For the sweetest “I love you” you’ve ever said

If you remember me
Tell me if I will see you again
I wait for you
I will always be there for you

If you remember me
Become a bright star
As the night falls, for me to look at you in the sky

After listening to it a few times I like it. The problem is that the first time I listened to it I kinda didn’t like it, and remember that most of the people who vote in the finals are first-time listeners to every song.
Anyway, good luck Cyprus!

Of course it’s amazing. The best ballad on offer at Eurovision this year.
