All 39 competing countries have now released their songs, and we can now present the first set of complete odds from Europe’s leading betting agencies. Last week the Netherland’s Anouk sat behind Sweden’s Robin Stjernberg. But this week the “Birds” singer has pushed Robin aside.

The following countries are listed by their average odds across 10 leading agencies. We have listed the odds from Bet365 and Skybet only. Listing all 10 would take us all day!

Denmark and Norway continue to lead the way, followed by the Netherlands and Sweden. Russia’s Dina Garipova, who is singing a rather bland ballad in my opinion, is fifth. Despite very mixed feedback on one of our discussion posts, the Ukraine’s Zlata Ognevich is currently sixth. Italy, Germany, Belarus and Azerbaijan round out the Top 10.

I’m surprised to see Georgia and Armenia sitting in 11 and 12—I’d place them towards the back of the pack—but I suppose the bookies are thinking about how these countries always do well (okay, except for Emmy with “Boom Boom” a few years ago). I think San Marino deserves to be much much higher than #21. I’ve actually placed a few cheeky outside bets on her, as I think Europe is gonna love her number “Crisalide”.

Current Odds

1. Denmark 2.25, 3
2. Norway 5.50, 5.50
3. Netherlands 7, 8
4. Sweden 8, 10

Why do the dutch have to be so negative towards their own? This time they have really come up with an outstanding song and you should be proud of that and let everyone know! You are being carried away by your modesty. That is so unnecessary.
I do think Anouk has deserved her place in the final and hopefully will be at least with the top votes! Just hope with many of us she will win and give the ESC some new credibility and class!

Silly Anglosaxon biased crowd-How very dare you to place SPAIn on a 31th spot where you havent even listened a bloody live rejearsal in MalmÖ… EDM is tooo classy for the usual Eurotrashy contest poo. I do support Chyprus overall!!!

Something in Anouk’s favour is that the song is very distinctive unlike the other solo female ballads that blend into one. It is a very un-Eurovision song which could be its biggest strength. It is very important to stand out at the ESC. If the Netherlands creates a very simple but stylish, dreamy & haunting set to match the song, this will further its distinctiveness. And Anouk is clearly capable of delivering the song wonderfully well live. It is also easy to envisage the beauty of ‘Birds’ grabbing hold of the public’s imagination. Netherlands poor qualifying record is also in… Read more »

Is it just me or is everyone writing off Cezar! Countertenors may not be big in Romania, or any other part of the pop world for that matter, but that doesn’t alter the fact that Cezar is considered to be one of the very best of them. I hate to bang on about this but last year Rona Nishliu broke our hearts with her distinctive and moving vocals, this year I’m certain Cezar can do the same with his equally impressive and technical singing ability. Don’t forget the juries have 50% of the votes don’t they? Also got 66/1 on… Read more »

Farid also attended master classes held by world-famous singer Robertino Loreti in Baku in November 2012.
“I have visited many festivals, have heard many young singers in a number of countries of the world, but I’ve never heard a voice like Farid Mammadov has. Stunning voice! He will have a bright future,” Loreti said then.

sorry to say this but bookies got it all completely wrong this year, no chance of denmark for the victory with “only teardrops”, the song is nothing special, I won’t say more about that we will all see that on stage in May, as for Norway, its not bad ofcourse, certainly not the victory song. No need to go through the bookies list, I would recommend the following entries: Macedonia, Italy, Sweden, San Marino, Ukraine

I don’t think Anouk will go the final. Belarus, Russia and Ukraine are all in the same semi. Because of neighbour votes, these 3 countries will go to the final on Saturday. There’s more competition in the first semi than in semi 2. Wish Anouk was in semi 2…

The top three is absolutely correct. I regard Russia as the sleeper of the pack – it will either do exceptionally well or dive. I’m a little indifferent about the rest. All will change between now and semi final time because strange things happen at the ESC. Eg: Vampire Switzerland favorites before the contest; with dollies on the stage at the semi final; no final for Switzerland.

Really cool to see Anouk 3rd… It would be so amazing if she gets in the final, the eurovision hype will grow in the Netherlands. Most of the dutch people are against Eurovision, but they’re always curious and making lots of commotion, if there is some news about our representative. Last year almost 2,5 million people watched the semi-final… If Anouk gets in the final, i think that can even double =) Make us proud Anouk =)

Why is Azerbaijan doing so well? That’s what I want to know! The song is their weakest since 2008, and the singer was out of tune for most the live performance – there’s a lot of better entries than theirs!

Robert, Netherlands won’t fail this year because we love the song! Many changes this year, a couple less countries competing and a killer song I am sure Anouk will make the final. Will she win? I hope so.

Anouk is leading her number 1 position with her song Birds in the Dutch charts It’s also downloaded as best song in the Itunes list. I feel proud because this song is special in every way! its sad there are a lot of cynicism quotes in the Netherlands, people say its not like Anouk and where is our proud Rockbitch and so on, I don’t degree and think that Anouk is a professional artist with an extensive talent of making music and writing lyrics. This song is the best Holland came out with ever on the eurovision when we watch… Read more »

I am very happy to see that my country the Netherlands is in the top 10 but I honestly don’t understand why. I like the song and Anouk is a good singer, but there are so many ballads and countries with strong diaspora votes…. It would not suprise me if we fail again this year. Can people outside of the Netherlands explain to me why you think the Netherlands won’t fail this year….
