Stop telling Anouk to “Break a leg” because she has done just that. During a friendly bowling match with the rest of her Netherlands team, the Dutch artist managed to pull a leg muscle over the weekend, according to news website Nos.nl. This is also why she failed to make an appearance at yesterday’s Eurovision Welcome Party. In case you wondered whether instead of a muscle maybe she pulled another marketing prank, Anouk’s team has even released a clip with the evidence.
Anouk is not likely to be affected by this injury, seeing as her number does not rely on any movement whatsoever. Hopefully, she will be able to stand during today’s dress rehearsal and tomorrow’s semi! And, of course, to deliver a flawless rendition of “Birds”, as per usual, which most of you seem to root for.
Anouk’s injury continues a string of illnesses that has been plaguing the Eurovision contestants – Moldova, Italy, not to mention Eurovision veteran Lys Assia. Moreover, Krista Siegfrids from Finland tweeted today that she exhausted her voice during last night’s party and the doctor has been ordered two days of silence. No more “Ding Dong”-ing until the dress rehearsal, Krista!
We wish everyone to get well soon! Don’t break a leg!

I first thought Anouk didn’t feel like turning up to last night’s Eurovision Welcome Party as I’ve heard that Anouk isn’t really into partying.
