On our way back from the press centre from the Semi-Final 1 dress rehearsal, Wiwi and I decided to drop into the local betting agency to see if anything has changed.
Well, unsurprisingly, Denmark is still in the lead with odds generally around 6:4. Russia, however, has somehow moved ahead of Ukraine and taken second, with odds generally around 3:1. How in the world this cheesy song with even cheesier staging could eclipse Ukraine is beyond me, but it is what it is, y’all. Zlata’s fairytale from Ukraine is in third with odds of 7:2 to 4:1, and the Netherlands rounds out the Top 4 as before, with odds of 12:1.
Our favourite Serbian girls remain in fifth with odds of 16:1, and Moldova has moved into 6th with odds reduced to 25:1. Belarus, Ireland, Austria and Estonia round out the Top 10, meaning Montenegro, Croatia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Belgium and Cyprus would be our early exits.
What do you think, though?
