Wiwi’s readers have cast a total of 22,192 votes in our poll to determine who will win Eurovision 2013. If they have it right, then Azerbaijan’s Farid Mammadov will defy the bookies and take first place. He earned 2,858 votes—or around 13% of all those cast. Interestingly, he is currently fourth with the bookies. On the eve of the final in 2011, when our poll correctly predicted that Azerbaijan’s Ell & Nikki would win, Azerbaijan sat in third on the oddstable.
Romania’s Cezar Ouatu, who we spoke with backstage yesterday, enjoyed a last-minute surge in the poll and has finished second. He walks away with 2,630 votes, which represents a 12% share.
Denmark’s Emmelie de Forest, who still scares us with her crazy stalker eyes, earned 7.4%, putting her just ahead of Wiwi Jury Winner Anouk from the Netherlands. The Dutch diva racked up 7.1%.
Malta’s Gianluca Bezzina, Greece’s Koza Mostra, Norway’s Margaret Berger, Germany’s Cascada and Belarus’ Alyona Lanskaya round out the Top 10.
The Dorians from Armenia came last with just 134 votes or 0.60%.
Our poll correctly predicted the winners in 2012 and 2011. In 2010 we predicted Turkey, but they finished second.
