Diana Navarro has built a celebrated career in Spain with more than ten years of success across pop, opera, flamenco and jazz. Nowadays she’s touring Spain and America. Along with Mónica Naranjo and Chenoa she has been among the fans’ favourites to represent Spain in the famous annual poll conducted by eurovision-spain.
Of these three singers, she’s the one most keen on the idea. She has said “yes” to the potential offer in recent years, and this week she declared in an interview that she would love to represent Spain in order to promote her music in Europe and to give a performance of the quality of divas like Patricia Kaas. She also thinks that this is a really important European contest which she could use to showcase the musical culture of Spain in a way that never has been done before.
We have a strong feeling that she may represent Spain next year. During the past two years TVE has chosen their artists from a list of singers from Warner Spain due to the annual deal that the two companies have. Diana Navarro is on this list and she is the only singer this year to say publicly that she would love to live this adventure.
It’s time for Spain to showcase real talent and leave behind bad flamenco experiments that never result in success.

Thank you Wiwibloggs for introducing me to such a wonderful singer! A great song performed like Kaas would definitely be in the top 10. She has a wonderful voice and seems to ooze class. But, if Diana doesn’t do it I think Spain should try Xuso Jones or Dani Fernandez (JESC 2006)/Auryn.
