Serbia’s Zeljko Joksimovic

Zeljko Joksimovic, who placed second at Eurovision 2004 and third at Eurovision 2012, will be a judge on X Factor Adria. The Balkan version of the show sees people from Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina and FYR Macedonia sing their hearts out to win €200,000, an album, two music videos and marketing support in the four respective countries.

Funny enough, Zeljko isn’t actually that familiar with the X Factor franchise or Simon Cowell. According to info.serbia, he only recently learned that Cowell has a reputation for being a baddie!

Kristina Kova, who composed Serbia’s 2011 song “Caroban” (Magical), will also judge. Her number did not do as well as Zeljko’s did, coming 14th. We’re not so sure Kristina’s expertise will prove to be so Magical. The other two judges are Emina Jahovic Sandal and Zoran Kiki Lesandric. Emina participated in the National Selection for Bosnia & Herzegovina in 2002, and Serbia in 2010. Nikola Paunovic, who competed at the 2009 Bosnian national selection, is also competing on X Factor.

The show will begin on the 14th of October (1 month from today, creepy) and finishes in February 2014. Given all the Eurovision follks involved, it’s appropriate that i’ll take place in KomBank Arena—the same venue that hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008.
