Croatia is out. Rumours suggest Bosnia is trading in Eurovision for Turkeyvision. And Serbia still hasn’t figured out whether it will have enough money to compete. With the Balkan future at Eurovision looking a bit dim and depressing, a survey is shining light on Slovenia.

According to Eurosong.hr, 52% of Slovenians do not want the nation to participate at Eurovision 2014. That suggests the land of Maja Keuc is fed up with sub-par results, which saw Eva Boto and Hannah Mancini crash out of the semi-finals in 2012 and 2013. Poor Hannah (America’s sweetheart) finished dead last despite her black catsuit. Sad kitty.

The same poll found that 25% of respondents would like to see Slovenian singer Manca Spik on the grand stage in May. She’s most famous for winning the “Melodije morja in sonca”  (Songs of the Sea and the Sun) Festival in 2007.

What are your thoughts? Should Slovenia try with Manca?

Maybe Slovenia needs to consider a male performer again ….. newcomer Alex Volasko or even better Omar Naber to come back if he would consider it as hopefully more experienced now and still has that great voice 🙂
