It’s been 11 days since Anne-Marie David performed in front of the OGAE Austria fanclub, and we’re still sad we missed it! The 1973 winner of the Eurovision Song Contest serenaded the audience at Vienna bar Gugg with her Eurovision classics “Tu Te Reconnaitras” and “Je Suis L’Enfant Soleil”. Anne-Marie still brings the heat 40 years after her victory. Everyone was a child of the sun that night! A highlight of the evening was when Miss David sang “Du bist da” with sexy Austrian DJ Mave O’Rick. This song makes us move, y’all.
Conchita Wurst, Austria’s 2014 contestant, also made a surprise appearance. Along with Anne-Marie, Mave, and German OGAE president Klaus Woryna, they judged OGAE Austria members as they interpreted their favourite Eurovision songs. To be a fly on the wall….
Conchita was looking sexy fierce at the event, sporting an animal print bra beneath a sheer pullover nightie. With looks like that, could she be a contender for our 2014 search for Eurovision’s Next Top Model?

Being transgender myself, I can see the kind of damage Conchita does to us. He goes for shock value with this drag act and makes trans people across the world look like idiots and freaks. What Dana did in 1998 was incredible. What Conchita is doing in 2014 is embarrassing.

It was a bit contradictory, sending Dina, as her song is talking about uniting – when Russia itself hates homosexuals. They also sent TATU as performers. Each song Russia sent that was about uniting or artists with a different sexuality scored within the top 5. Wake up call much, Russia?
Conchita should make the final, regardless of the song. She’s such a role model that I wouldn’t be surprised if she won!
