Kaliopi is always the life of the party—and it was no different during the filming of “Lokomotiva”. By the end of this delightful video, she’s dancing with a grandfather, a train operator and a woman in leather hot pants. She knows how to move—and knows how to make people move!

“Lokomotiva” is the fourth release from her critically acclaimed album “Melem”. The song is folksy and danceable, and just might qualify as Turbo Folk. Kaliopi & Co. filmed it at the Rajko Zinzifov train station between Skopje and Veles in Macedonia. It’s incredibly atmospheric and works really well with the song, which was written by Romeo Grill. Toot toot!

Kaliopi will perform in Zagreb on 20th November as part of her ongoing Balkan tour. Future dates coming soon!

I suppose this could be classified as progress in that she no longer sounds like a screeching harpie.

Haha still remembering that Graham Norton with his commentary like 20 times said that Kaliopi her real name is Kaliopi Grill and that it sounds like a cheap restaurant
