Earlier this month, Switzerland’s German broadcaster SRF announced that fans could vote for their favourite entries using an online voting system, as part of the Swiss national selection process. The public vote counts towards 50% of the overall combined vote, with the other 50% coming from the juries.

All the votes have been counted and verified, and this morning SRF announced that the following nine entries have made it to the next stage. In alphabetical order they are:

3 For All with “Together Forever”

Arxplendida with “Mercurii diei”

Gosia with “I’m Not Afraid”

Hot Connection with “Music From The Sixties”

Martin Kirchberger with “Yourope”

Nino Colonna with “La luce del cuore”

One Day Remains – “Alpha

Swissters with “Celebration”

Yasmina Hunzinger with “I Still Believe”

Well done to them all, including Polish Eurovision veteran Gosia. But it’s not over yet! On 30 November, the nine artists chosen will have to perform in a live audition, in front of a panel of professional experts, where they’ll be judged based on their vocal and performing abilities. And you can watch their live performances through SRF’s webcast.

The live auditions will also feature 3 artists from Italian language broadcaster RSI and another 6 artists from French language broadcaster RTS, meaning a total of 18 acts will be battling out for a place at the Swiss national final, Die Grosse Entscheidungsshow, on 1 February 2014.

The results of the live auditions will be announced on the 16 December. A total of six entries will be selected: 3 from SRF, 2 from RTS and 1 from RSI.

Are Arxplendida wearing the Croatian costumes from this year??? The coats look so familiar. I gave One Day Remains a vote – but none of the others. I did like Yasmina – but I am not sure it is good enough in this competition – though if the withdrawals keep happening – who knows! What happened to My Body Has Legs! I really liked that. Well – good luck Switzerland – you might need it.

Where are Krystal & The Rhinestones – or are these all Swiss nationals. There are only two who have a chance in my oppinion – I still Believe and Together Forever.. Good luck Switzerland

lmfao at Arxplendida!!!

Ugh, underwhelming though. I donno if Switzerland is going to make it to the final this year, unless whichever song is chosen gets a lot of work done. I really like the face paint in Yourope’s number though XD

@D You’re not losing much. The French are a disaster this year. Nothing tops what Carrousel managed. Paula Marengo is the best one, but it still sounds heavily outdated. The rest are either boring or very amateurish.
The italian broadcaster isn’t much of a bummer; they do have the best out fo the German broadcaster. I really like Sebalter with Hunter of Stars, and the rest aren’t offensively bad, just not enough.

My qualifiers are… 1- Gosia with “I’m Not Afraid” 2- One Day Remains with “Alpha” 3- Martin Kirchberger with “Yourope” I haven’t heard the French or the Italian songs so I don’t know if I like any of them. But, without hearing them to be honest the only two songs where I’d be happy if they won are Gosia and One Day Remains. I think both would do good and any other song from the German station would crash and burn. Martin Kirchberger has a small chance of doing well if he won but I don’t think any of the… Read more »

3 for All are the ones to beat. That was amazing and definetly the winnersfor me so far. I love the concept behind Arxplendida, but it’s not executed well. What a shame. They must revamp it up. One Day Remains also falls on this, but not as bad as the former Gosia’s song is also passable, but I think the cropping will hurt her chances. Martin Kirchberger’s takes a classic gimmick and takes it up to 11. Swissters could be a disaster, but it was better than I expected, which wasn’t much. And the rest are just filler. So my… Read more »
