Lynne Kieran, one-thrid of the Rounder Girls, has passed away at age 53. Authorities have not yet established the cause of death.

The Rounder Girls began singing together in 1993 and competed at Eurovision in 2000 with the song “All to You”. They finished 14th, a position Austria would be happy to achieve in next year’s contest. They have not advanced to the final since 2011.

Many have compared the Rounder Girls to Sweden’s Afro-dite, and not merely because the group includes singers of African descent. Their mo-town sound was refreshing on the Eurovision stage, and brought a life and energy that we all still remember.

Rest in peace, Lynne.

that is soo weird because last night, i didn’t know anything about her death because it hadn’t appeared in the medias yet, but i listened to the eurovision 2000 cd, and afterwards checked the rounder girls out on youtube and wikipedia and other places on the internet, for the first time ever, and then it turned out to be the night she died :/

I trying to think of what caused her death. Lemme see, uh… breast cancer? Lung infection? Drug overdose? Murder? I dunno…….
