One day after Armenia officially named Aram Mp3 its Eurovision 2014 representative, the singer and X Factor host has released a new single called “Just Go On”.

It is not yet known if the song is merely a New Year’s present for his fans, or an overture of what we can expect from him in Copenhagen. It may be one of the songs his team is considering for a national selection or it may even be an actual entry. If this is Armenia’s Eurovision 2014 song, Mr Mp3 is gonna make the EuroClub go maaaad! This is very danceable, y’all.

Last year, the Dorians, who were also internally selected, sang three songs at a national song selection. The public then chose their favourite song for the group to sing at Eurovision 2013. We should expect the same for Aram MP3, right?

The music was composed by Aram Mp3 himself and the lyrics were penned by Garik Papoyan. Last year, Garik was a strong supporter of the Dorians. In an interview for tert.am, he suggested they were real contenders for Eurovision.

Aram certainly has his supporters out there. In the two days since he was named as Armenia’s contestant, an unofficial fan page has already amassed more than 4,400 followers. Be sure to visit the fan page to show your support and to keep up with the latest Aram Mp3 news.

JUST GO ON lyrics

One day a friend of mine he said
Life is short don’t waste it in your bed
At the right time, at the right place, that’s where you start to smile
With bright people, with bright faces, who will always tell you need to…

Just go on….

This energy I feel is so insane
A beating heart, deactivated brain
Got the right time, got the right place, I’m on the top right now
Got my people, happy faces, I’m the one who tells them now

Just go on….

Got my people with their happy faces
Got my people with their beating pulses

Just go on

Should Aram just go on with pushing this song for Eurovision? Were you satisfied with the Dorians last year? How will Aram Mp3 compare?

I’m surprised this is pretty decent, but I doubt he could win Eurovision.

It sounds good. Problem is it hardly has any words. He repeats “Just Go On” over and over and over and over. Kinda lazy writing if you ask me. When performers just go Oooooooo or La La La over and over its cause they can’t or won’t take the time to actually write lyrics and find it easier to just repeat something over and over. Sorry, this would not win Eurovision. I don’t hate it. It just comes across and background noise.

This guy can do much better! I want him to sing something like Bruno Mars…he can do, in fact he might be the only one who can do it. Honestly, Yerevan 2015 has never been more realistic (yes, his chances are better than Sirusho’s).

Armenian selection songs are normally made to last the right time needed for Eurovision. Doubt this was made with that purpose in mind, but it might indicate what to expect

“Don’t waste it in your bad?” I do hope that’s supposed to be “bed”, but anyways, I really like this song. It might be a touch repetitive in parts, but what a cool voice this guy has!
