This Saturday A Dal 2014, the Hungarian national selection, kicks off with the first heat. Ten songs will compete but only six will qualify for the semi-finals. You can watch the first heat on the official MTV web site from 20:20 CET.

We’ve known the 30 songs competing for quite some time, so all of you can make an informed decision. And I do mean all of you. The voting will be opened worldwide, so everyone will be able to vote for their favourite, just as in the past two years.

A Dal has proven to be very succesful. The Central European country is two-for-two with its selection show, and managed to qualify for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012 (with Compact Disco) and 2013 (with ByeAlex).

It does sound like a really strong year this year. I didn’t know the international audience could vote also! I’ve committed myself to A Dal this year! 😀

My top picks are New Level Empire, Fool Moon, Linda Kiraly, Victor Kiraly, Group N Swing, and Extensive. A Dal is really so quality this year. I don’t think there’s one bad song in the bunch.
