Earlier this week we told you about Day One, the anonymous group of four singers who are competing in Belgium Eurosong wearing black masks. That kind of creeped us out. But we’re less frightened now that HLN is reporting that one of those singers is Kate Ryan!
That’s right people. The newspaper is reporting that Miss Ryan is ready to make her Eurovision comeback and to claim the glory that was denied to her in 2006 when, as the favourite to win Eurovision, she failed to qualify for the final.
The newspaper reports that she is likely to be joined by Babl, the keyboarder from the group Netsky, and some rappers.
VRT, which released a preview of the 15 candidates that we will see in the second casting this Sunday, is remaining tight-lipped about this incognito group. They explained Day One’s desire to remain anonymous this way:
Day One is a collective of four musicians who wish to continue being anonymous. They guarantee a fresh drum & bass style. The quartet is hiding behind masks because they come from other projects and directions and are happy to be assessed from a neutral point of view.

Kate ryan actually sounds like the lead singer but in day one she seems to make her voice deep with a growly gravely tone. Like miss bonnie tyler.
The article actually says she is joined by some tv-presenters from a children’s network, not rappers. Just wanted to point that out.
Why Kate Ryan aka. Day One did no qualify as they both with Axxela had 85? They both had 255 from all 3 experts, that’s unfair.
So the drummer might be Michael Schack?

yes please! I LOVE HER. this would make a lot of sense too. she has stigma from losing so wearing mask is good thing. for now anyway
