Hungary is on to a good thing with A Dal, its national selection contest. In the past two years the winners have taken Hungary to the Eurovision final and last year ByeAlex finished an impressive 10th. But that was then and this is now. 1- Viktor Király – A great upbeat danceable song. Love it. It’s super catchy and gets stuck in your head easily. I think it could do very well in Copenhagen. 2- Bogi – This is such a grower. When I first heard the song I didn’t understand why people liked it so much, but after seeing her performance it became one of my favourites. I haven’t heard most of them, but Kallay all the way. Amazing song, staying power, great theme, nice voice. He deserves it, this can win.
Where are Depresszió in the picture above?
Viktor, Bogi or HoneyBeast
Bogi and Kállay are the only ones I can see going anywhere. They aren’t great though.
Bogi’s song is nice, but forgettable.
The backing singers are ruining Kállay’s performance.
A Dal was really top quality this year, which is nice to see. I’m worried with how they will do the final though. Who, ultimately, gets to pick the song? If it’s down to the jury, I’m worried they will make a bad pick, considering that Brave New World was their top song in the 3rd heat. I think that the jury will pick either that one or Running out of Time (which isn’t a bad song.) If it’s down to the public vote, I think it’s more likely they’ll go with The Last One or Running.
