Estonia is, as usual, spoilt for choice. My top 10: 1) Kõrsikud – “Tule ja jää” Absolutely magical. There’s a warmth and innocence to this song that can’t really be described but it’s there. It’s perfect for reminiscing by the fire. 2) Traffic – “Für Elise” Yeah, it’s folk but it’s damn good! This is so catchy and rhythmic, it could easily succeed in Copenhagen. 3) Norman Salumäe – “Search” This surprisingly effective modern ballad is lifted by a crazy awesome performance. 4) Lenna – “Supernoova” I love that they’re bringing back the late-90s Coldplay sound. The live is great,… Read more »

Is it just my imagination, or does Tanja’s “Amazing” remind anyone else of Robin Stjernberg’s “You” for Sweden last year?

5. Norman Salumäe
4. Tanja
3. Traffic (this one somehow reminds me of Avicii’s “Hey Brother”)
2. Lenna
1. Sandra Nurmsalu. Part folk-rock, part electronic; the best of both worlds. This song has the greatest potential to bring the contest to Tallinn in 2015.

Wilhelm — “Resignal” is easily the best by my taste. Beautifully formed and perfectly executed.

Sandra Nurmsalu for me!!! Good vibes for the song and as Switzerland 2005 would say, “Cool Vibes!!!”

Sandra! I am in love with her and her song! But i am so freaking worried that Super Hot Cosmos Blues Band goes unless juries kill it.

“Kui tuuled pöörduvad”, “Laule täis taevakaar”, or “Siin või sealpool maad” for me. I’m still upset that “Fearful Hearts” didn’t make it though.

I can’t stop listening to “Kui tuuled pöörduvad” 🙂

And the live performance was flawless.

Supernoova, please. We have a strange lack of ballads and slower numbers this year (only Albania so far, and that’s a power ballad, not a regular ballad).

Wow … this is one big rich national final with folk-country-indie songs: this became a trend a bit all over Europe … If Traffic wins, this will be the 4th band to enter the competition this year with a song and style that can be compared to all the other three and it also mark the most “band-oriented” Eurovision ever straying away from the cheesy commercial pop dance tunes. And although I am not a fan of Sandra’s song’s chorus I like the mix of ethnic vibes and saxophone making this world music composition quite exotic. I think Sandra deserves… Read more »
