Finally, DT, the not-yet-established member of the European Broadcasting Union, has made an official announcement about the Greek national final, through which the act that will represent the country on the B&W Hallern will be chosen. Here goes:

DT and MAD TV announce the 4 contestants, who will take part at the Greek national final, in order to decide who will represent us at the 59th Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen.

The candidates in alphabetical order are:

FREAKY FORTUNE FEAT. RISKYKIDD by Panik Records

MARK ANGELO FEAT. JOSEPHINE by Panik Records

KRYSTALLIA by Platinum Records

KOSTAS MARTAKIS by Platinum Records

The announcement of the 4 competing songs, as well as the songwriters, will be made on Wednesady, March 5.

The Greek Final (Ellinikos Telikos) will take place on Thusday, March 11 at the Acro Music Hall, and will be boradcasted live by DT.”

It seems that DT wants to continiue last year’s success, letting the music TV station, MAD TV, organise and fund it all, while 2 record labels will be responsible for each of the artists’ costs. It will be named after “Ellinikos Telikos”, and will start at 20:00 CET, while details about tickets remain to be announced.

We have previously covered the venue and the candidates. Check them out at the Greek coverage.
