Greece: Freaky Fortune feat. Riskykidd win with Rise Up!

It was an unforgetable night that featured Greeks in kilts and Greek Eurovision legends like Kalomira. But despite all the amazing guest performances and three costume changes from one of the hosts, it’s Freaky Fortune that fans will remember the longest. That’s right, people: Greece has decided. Freaky Fortune feat. Riskykidd are bound for Copenhagen with their song “Rise Up”.

Surely it wasn’t a surprise for them, as their song has been the favourite to win in virtually every poll published in the run-up to the contest—including ours. They will spend the next 2 months preparing for the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest and we wish them all the luck in the world. We hope they’ll follow the simple advice that Kalomira gave them ahead of their performance. She told them to be themselves. Given their panache and pizzazz and likeability, the simplest advice may prove to be the best.

Here’s their performance during the national selection.
