Wiwi:  Water, water everywhere! Ruth Lorenzo brought it home today with her moving performance of “Dancing in the Rain.” The LED floor looks like a puddle and you can see “rain” dropping into it. The LED makes it seem like it’s raining all around her, and everything is bathed in blue-grey light. It’s stunning. She’s not just dancing in the rain—she’s dancing straight to the top! I love this.

Anthony: Disaster struck days before Ruth was due to arrive in Copenhagen. So after some much needed rest, has Ruth managed to bounce back from her road to recovery? I think I’m happy to say that Ruth has made a full recovery after all four run-throughs of Spain’s first rehearsal. She absolutely nailed it with her breathtaking vocals! Unsurprisingly, there were shouts of “¡Bravo!” from the Spaniards in the press centre after Ruth’s first run-through. And I’m loving the rain effects on the LED screens.

Patrick: I’m speechless… I was having an emotional breakdown when I saw Ruth performing on the stage. She is a wonderful person and she’s probably the best singer in this year’s competition! I only saw 30 seconds of the rehearsal so I can’t say really much about the staging, but it looked quite nice. The voice is marvelous and she doesn’t need to improve at all. I hope there will be some water on the performance! GRACIAS RUTH

That sounds flawless to me. Static maybe, but this is a ballad, not a histrionic ethnopop act.

Here you can watch the complete version of the first rehearsal from Ruth.

I don’t know but something sounded from at the middle of the song I think that’s the only thing I think she needs to improve. I was hopping also that Giusseppe was going to do backup dancing 🙁

Well, I have to say she sounds a tad less “shouty”. At this point, ladies and gentlemen, it is time we left our bickering behind and just wish her the best. Those of us who follow Spain closely know this year they’ve done so much more than they have in eons…they deserve some reward for all that.

Ruth is an amazing vocalist, and I would have loved to love the song – I loved the great vocalist divas from Spain, like Anabel and Pastora. BUT I feel that this song is just too much – trying to prove Ruth’s vocal abilities, it becomes shouty and even a bit annoying to my ears. Too bad, this could have been a favorite of mine. Good luck anyway Ruth, you are truly a remarkable singer.

I’m glad she’s cut out allow the screaming. I don’t know how people can hear any hint of screaming in her performance anymore. They must still be sore over the whole Brequette thing.

She’s a fantastic singer, a real contender this year.

Sorry, but the only thing that she does is screaming (which actually disgusts).

Jordan- you have really annoyed me by calling fans stupid and deaf. Your in the minority and obviously have no clue about talent or an appreciation of quality. Even if you don’t like the song, you shouldn’t insult others and even if you don’t like the song you have to acknowledge at the very least Ruth’s amazing vocal quality.

ohhhhhh – some people!

Jordan attacks the song saying its aggressive and then leaves a post like below… someone has anger issues and its not Ms Lorenzo.

Her voice is incredible (live it made my Jaw drop) I was not a big fan of the song to begin but its my one of my favourites.

I would love a close finish between UK and SPAIN.

I think the staging is a bit boring? But maybe it’s because the camera angle is limiting the view, I like the song though.

And btw… I’d like to say that “Armenian King” is NOT Armenian. He’s just trying to put out a bad name for us.

She seems to be pronouncing the word ‘dancing’ differently from when she did in Mira Quien Va A Eurovision. She seems more confident through her voice and I really hope she does well.

Oooh! I love Ruth and I love her song! Maybe Brequette was a better choice, but now, seeing at this, I am COMPLETELY sure she’ll do it more than good in the Final! Go Ruth!

Too much aggressive yelling … and you guys dare to call this one a ‘song’?? Most of the fans are stupid just as they’re deaf…
