With 32 hours to go until the grand final, the Eurovision odds are changing faster than a Miss Universe contestant between the swimsuit and evening gown segments. Following the second semi-final, Sweden’s Sanna Nielsen remains the favourite with her odds as around 5/2. We know she wants to “Undo” her sad, and it looks like she wants to “Undo” our hopes of having Eurovision in a non-Scandinavian country next year…

Austria’s Conchita Wurst has risen dramatically, jumping from outside the Top 10 all the way to second favourite. Following her emotional performance in the second semi-final she now has odds as low as 10/3, with most agencies putting her at 7/2. Some Austrians joked she was the “wurst” possible choice, but now Austria is poised for victory…

The Netherlands’ Common Linnets are still riding the high of their first semi-final performance. They sit in third, but are basically in a deadlock with Conchita Wurst. Their odds are also as low as 10/3. Interestingly, among the Top 10 contestants only Austria, the Netherlands and Greece (down in ninth) continue to narrow with the bookies.

Former favourite Aram Mp3 continues to watch his odds widen. He’s now at 9/2 and in fourth position.

The UK, Hungary, Ukraine, Denmark, Greece and Norway round out the Top 10.

To get a perception of straightness, halt somewhere on the
long side. This is where the need for a good horse racing systems comes in. They wanted
an “improved” version of the native Kirgiz type that not
only looked nicer, but could pull the heavier agricultural
equipment that the Soviets wanted on the local farms.

Tonight it is time for a clam quality song that will last: Common Linnets. Calm before the storm: 12 points! PURE REAL AND DIFFERENT. That is what we need this year. Thank you The Netherlands.

@ Hello Don’t worry. Christer Björkman, the head of the swedish delegation, says that it’s a great spot. Not only is Sweden placed as far in as it possible can, but the commercial break will give even more time for gettin’ the stagin’ in place. There was a problem with a light going in the wrong direction this week – that won’t happen this time since we’ve got more time to look it over, the “door” which was open on the live semi 1 performence will be closed and the lights will have more time to “charge” according to Björkman.… Read more »

@ Ellypso There are so many ballards this year. France gives a change, its happy, its fun its full of joy. To me its like we can stop remembering all the politics, the anti gay comments, the hate and just have fun for 3 minutes. Ive downloaded the song and its on repeat for me. It is catchy! I think we only see France as a “joke” act because of how eccentric and out there they want to me. They really are passionate about this I think just their style makes us think of them as joke like. Tonight I… Read more »

Thank you V. for supporting France. U’re really the lonely one here and you belong to a very small group of ESC fans more generally. I just want my country to withdraw the contest for ever or for very long henceforth. France is not welcome there anymore. It’s obvious we’ll never win again. We have to do the same as Luxembourg (one of my favourite competitors in the past) that gave up in 1994 definitely after a long series of bad rankings. Moreover France would save its money for more useful tasks and cultural purposes on its territory where people… Read more »

Finland should win, they have a self-made fresh song. Not over experienced entertainers performing something written by professional hit factories tailored for them, similar to previous years’ numbres, or counting on non-musical features like big boobs or circus acts on stage. NEW European music by enthousiastic young musicians, isn’t it what this should be about. Something Better.

My biggest wish was for Conchita to make it through the semis and make a good place in the finals. For me and a lot of other Austrians, she is already a winner. She truly is the queen of the hearts’ of this year’s contest. I am for ever thankful that she represents Austria from its tolerant side – unfortunately a side Austria is not famous for. Her fight for tolerance and unity has had an amazing impact and I am so proud that she has made such a positive impact in my home country. Austria won only once, and… Read more »

I like the song of The Netherlands but it has no chance to win can you imagine that? Someone wrote here that the song of Netherlands is special one and differ, I wont agree because when I listened it the first time it reminded me the songs of Taylor Swift. Armenia will not win they (I dont know who they are lol) will never give the first place to Armenia, maybe one year but that wont be this year I am sure. Its the first year that UK has a good song and has all the chances to win. Hungary… Read more »

@ Dan RO – Just to show my consistency, let me assure you that I didn’t like the Dutch entry before yesterday and I still don’t. Nothing against them of course! and I even like the style. I simply see nothing in this song and it particularly bores me, unless many others among its style. Just a matter of taste, of course. On the other hand, you never know what will happen tomorrow… you know the proverb: “Vox Populi Vox Mei… erm, Vox Dei”. If millions of voters voting “based on taste alone” could get a generic been-there-done-that-a-zillion-times cheesy (no… Read more »

In a swedish article it said that Sweden will host esc if Sanna wins and that they will try to make it affordable. They seemed to be positive about hosting (wanting to make it better than 2013) if she wins

HA! That’s the stupidest thing iv’e ever heard xD

Of course we want to host the contest next year if we win. And yes we can afford it. According to Christer Björkman they have already started to talk about i.

Please don’t spread untrue things here 🙂

I am not surprised to see Armenia’s chances slipping away – I’m sorry, the man has ZERO charisma on stage and you can’t win that way…

I am surprised though (very pleasantly) seeing The Netherlands becoming such favourites! It’s been my overall second favourite since the beginning, when most people bitched about how boring the song is… And now most people say they love it :).

But Spain remains my hottest favourite – I don’t know if Ruth will win the contest, but she will certainly be the winner in my heart!

Sweden does not want to host next years esc due to criticism over last years festival, besides that they don’t want to host is due to financial reasons. So i really don’t understand why they are still favourites at the bookies at the moment. Odds of Sweden will rise soon i think. Austria won’t win to, the clip looked ok but the song is nothing special without the clip. The show is just not good enough on stage. Armenia is not going to win as Aram told he’s homofobic and made some other stupid quotes in the media. Leaves me… Read more »

So many “favorites”, I’m getting confused. But really, I cheer for the Netherlands to emerge as a winner because I’m in love with that song, into how they both look stunning, how they both take the atmosphere on another level – well beyond everyone else, and yet – this isn’t your typical Eurovision song, but it’s quality! And that alone will force change in the attitude of the oh, so many countries which send rubbish year after year. Not even one of the other “favorites” has that for me. I don’t even try to listen Sweden, Armenia, UK, Hungary…repeatedly. The… Read more »

I think Conchita definitely is a dangerous contender for the until-now favourites, better watch out for her! Also for as much as the bookies like The Netherlands now, I’m pretty sure we won’t see them in the top 5, we yet have to see the final performance from UK and Spain, so don’t sing victory just yet. Btw, I think San Marino will end up way higher, definitely not a winner, maybe not even top 10, but I’m pretty sure it won’t end in the bottom of the chart, as predicted here, don’t underestimate the fans who will vote for… Read more »

I remember when most of you here were saying that The Netherlands song was boring… Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow, it’s too unpredictable and that’s what makes the contest so cool this year. I believe in Sanna’s chances for the win and since I heard Austria and The Netherlands I liked their songs too. I’ll be crossing fingers for Sweden tomorrow but Hey! Let’s see what happen.

Its been announced that sweden dont want to host it next year, I also think it will be best for everyone if they didnt as countries will drop out ans last year wasnt that breathtaking. Uk and france have declares that thwy want to host it. I think london will bw great just look at 2012 olympics. It will be original and so much fun plus cpuntries will rejoin since its in one of the big 5 countries. Go get them molly.

Netherlands vs UK vs Austria fighting for the 1st place. Sweden will be 4th.

Regarding Conchita, it’s the song and the performance people are judging, not the beard. If the song was performed by any other woman or men, it would still sound amazing. No marketing strategy can make a song sound better. IMO.

OMG I really hope my country will win! Not only because it’s my own country, but also because it will be noticed that ‘quality’ songs can do pretty well. Perhaps we’ll see Adèle next year in that case or something? I never had such big trust in my country, not even when Anouk went to the final 😮 I would be happy with a top 5 placement though, but I would seriously love if we’ll win! 😀 Love the fact Denmark place us as one of the favorites and give us the chance <3 Amsterdam 2015! the top songs are ones that have already performed in the semis therefore, people have got to see what they are really like. However, UK is an exception- as yet a “proper” dress rehearsal has not even been shown and yet she has made the top 5. This is brilliant news for the Uk as it means once people see her rehearsals later today, then I predict she will clmb to 2nd or even first favourite. the same with Spain- once Ruth’s rehearsals have been seen, she will climb to top 3. I will be proven right by the odds… Read more »

Interesting. I think Sanna/Sweden might get hurt by the 13/afterbreak spot. People still getting coffee or beer or in the toilet. 🙂 And regarding Sweden being boring, they were millimeters from sending this instead of Sanna: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AY-IdHKm9kU , which incidentally I think would have brought the win to Sweden by a landslide.

SWEDEN MUST NOT WIN!!!!! DONT VOTE FOR THEM!!!! if they win, it’ll be the most undeserved winner ever and we will have a contest next year with less countries than 37, and as boring as in Malmö. Everything about Sweden is so boring!! I can’t BELIEVE IF THIS MEDIOCRE SONG WILL WIN! Even DR wants it to win, when they have given it the best starting number in the first half. And DR is promoting ONLY sweden all the time on their facebook-page. Denmark and Sweden thinks that Eurovision is only for them, and that they can switch winning all… Read more »

Oh, c’mon, so many nonsense with the odds. Do you really think that by putting some countries above Armenia he won’t win? People like his song and you can notice it everywhere, he’s still the BIG FAVORITE. The odds, the politics, the business turned the ESC into a circus and it sucks. Just accept and let the best win.

This will be won by a country that scores consistently well across all countries…my fear is that Austria and the Netherlands will not pick up points across the board, even though they get some 10s and 12s…I see Sweden, UK and Hungary getting lots of 6, 7, 8s and this will make for a decent total. 220/230 points may be enough this year. As long as that overrated Armenia song does not win. Why was it favourite for so long??

@Chap2014 – what are you basing your claim that Molly ‘hardly sings’ on? Have you actually listened to her performing live such as in her launch video. If you don’t consider that singing, then that says more about your tastes than it does about her abilities.

As for your claim of UK ‘corruption’ – you might want to tell us what you mean? In what way is the UK corrupt?
