Here she comes! After visiting Germany, the UK and Ireland in recent months, Eurovision Winner Conchita Wurst will finally perform for her French “Unstoppables”. State TV channel France 2 invited the diva to sing “Rise Like a Phoenix” on June 21 for Fête de la musique held this year in Montpellier.
More than 25,000 people are expected to fill Place de la Comédie, Montpellier’s main square, to celebrate the shortest night of the year. Many French artists will attend the show including Patrick Fiori, France’s entry in the 1993 contest.
Daniela Lumbroso, the producer of the show, can hardly hide her satisfaction. “It’s such a happening, a great media stunt,” she says. “She’s the winner of Eurovision!”
One question remains: how will the crowd react to Miss Wurst’s performance? Even though Montpellier is one of the most gay-friendly cities of France we fear that some intolerant people will boo the artist to show their opposition to LGBT rights.
No matter. We know Conchita will just rise like a phoenix…

@Rob, Wiwibloggs is writing about every single artist that has been into ESC, no mather if they are gonna be a actor in a film, or if it’s about music.
As alot of things are happening to Conchita, they write about her.
Hello Rob,
I decided to mention the LGBT community in my article because one year after France adopted gay-marriage, there are still some tension in the air because the anti-LGBT rights protesters keep showing their anger anytime they can.
For instance, one former French Minister who is a hard catholic tweeted after Conchita’s victory that she felt uncomfortable with the results.
So there are chances that they do something against Conchita on that night.
Thanks for spending time on reading my article.
Why writing all time about LGBT? Hello, most of readers are not gay, not lesbian or whatever, only men who loves women and women who loves men! And not forget Eurovision Song Contest is about music! Thanks!
