For months Eurovision fans have fed rumours that Monaco may make a return to the glitz and glamour of Eurovision following its eight-year absence. But TMC, Monaco’s state broadcaster, has squashed the speculation for good by confirming that it won’t field a singer for Austria 2015. No, the land of casinos will not take a gamble on ESC.

The principality on the French Riviera previously sat out of the contest for 25 years, so perhaps we just need to wait a little bit longer. Monaco last participated in Athens in 2006 with the song La Coco-Dance sung by Severine Ferrer. She failed to qualify for the final, as did the previous two Monegasque entries. Life’s tough when you’re a microstate at Eurovision…

So what do you think? Will Eurovision in Austria have a void without something Monegasque? Let us know!

That is a shame. I really thought that Josh Stanley would bring Monaco back to ESC. Oh well. I think that Monaco may never return to Eurovision. I also seriously doubt that Luxembourg and Andorra will be back anytime soon as well.
