One year after her Eurovision appearance—and a duet with producer Marko Mandic, several modelling campaigns and a reality TV appearance—Moje 3’s Sara Jovanovic is all grown up. Following in the footsteps of former band mates Nevena Bozovic and Mirna Radulovic, Sara’s released her first solo single since Moje 3 called it quits.

She’s chopped off her hair and toughened up for “Ko je ovde ko”. In the first 24 hours of its release, the music video has already clocked up over 100,000 views and it’s pretty obvious why. We see Sara pouting in a mirror, getting lost in a shipyard and striking some very provocative poses. Drawing on elements of hip-hop and R&B, it’s a tribute to ghetto fabulous, with an emphasis on the fab.

What’s not to love? When Moje 3 split we were promised three unique solo singers producing three different style of music. It’s fair to say they’ve kept their promise. It’s a far cry from the bubblegum pop and pink tutus displayed in Malmö, but after a year Sara has certainly found her feet—and she’s ready to stomp.

GANGSTER ALERT! GANGSTER ALERT! GANGSTER ALERT!

It’s goodbye to the pink tutus and squeaky clean bubblegum pop. Sara is now a dangerous, violent, vicious gangster and she WILL stand up for herself and will kick, spit on and punch you if you mess with her, y’all. If you know her, have the police on speed dial.

PUBLIC WARNING: Enjoy messing with this girl, enjoy spending 3 days in Hospital.

DISCLAIMER: It’s all a joke. But she IS a gangster. 😀

Sara is no longer the little cutie from MOJE 3. Instead, she is now fierce and rough around the edges, but at the same time, she is still ladylike. I love those 2 qualities in a female artist. It appeals more and there is a better market for them these days. But then again, while I love Rough and Tough within girs, there is a point when they become too rough that it verges on unladylike. Like Tulisa from N-Dubz, who punched a blogger in the face at the V Festival last summer. But yeah, Sara avoids that and is… Read more »
