This year’s London Pride welcomed the good and the great of the Eurovision community: Conchita Wurst and Katrina Leskanich both took to the stage, as did the incredibly lively Sophie DeBattista. After getting the crowd singing during her set, the former Maltese Junior Eurovision and national final entrant took the time to speak to wiwibloggs!

In a conversation with wiwiblogger Chris Halpin, Sophie revealed that she wasn’t ruling out trying to sing for Malta at Eurovision again. “I never say never, so possibly in the future yeah!” But at the same time Sophie said that 2015 isn’t likely, as she wants to focus on her studies and other gigs. But she did reveal that trying out for the UK might be an option in the future.

Sophie also talked about Gaia Cauchi, who won Junior Eurovision for Malta last December. “Personally, I was so proud,” Sophie enthused, going on to say that this year’s JESC (to be held in Malta) will be a “great opportunity for the Maltese community…to have such a production come to the island.”

The singer-songwriter also talked about some of her new work, saying that an EP “is on the cards” and that everything is moving forward. Her latest video “So Damn Perfect” is on the Vevo music network. We’re looking forward to hearing lots more from this exciting talent. Are you?
