Czesc, y’all! Sources close to Poland’s TVP have confided to wiwibloggs that Poland will shake what their music-making mamas gave them at Eurovision 2015 in Austria. Telewizja Polska (TVP) has yet to confirm officially, but will do so in the near future, according to our source. Yet there is no talk of whether or not there will be a national selection (as in 2011) or an internal selection (as in 2014).
This raises several questions regarding the future of Poland’s success in Eurovision. Excluding 2014, the last time Poland qualified for a Eurovision final was in 2008, and the last time before that was in 2004. Poland could go for another sex-on-legs performance, but that may not be entirely successful. They could also try something completely new, but there is always a risk in doing something unexpected.
What do you think? Should Poland continue participating? How can they replicate the success of 2014? Please let us know in the comments below!
Poland will definitely take part next year as this year’s participation was a success. The Polish entry was a hit, Eurovision brought big numbers to the broadcaster (biggest ESC viewing rates since 2003-4?) and of course a lot of publicity!
I hope they’ll make the right decision about their entry next year.
“Please Poland, no more tits. This is Eurovision, not Porn Land.”
No, this is not Eurovision. It’s Gay-Trans Song Contest.
Micha? Szpak!
Jordan, they have a fair point. I’d certainty rather read “feminist bullsh*t”, rather than sexist bullsh*t.
I\d like to see Magdalena Tul again.
Devon and Andrea
Go take your feminist bullsh*t somewhere else…
YAY!!!! So happy Poland is returning. 😀
Sylwia Grzeszczak please!
ARTEM FURMAN – EUROVISION 2015 😀
Please Poland, no more tits. This is Eurovision, not Porn Land.
They came 5th in the televote only because of the tits, not because of the song..However I’m glad they will return 🙂
Please Poland select Sylwia Grzeszczak for Eurovision 2015 🙂
ESC need Poland to go!
Amazing news! Go go Poland :>
Darren —>Slovakia ,Monaco 😉
Good news !
Amazing News
Hope for another great song next year
(and yes, I agree that internal selection is the way to go for Poland)
Most everyone I’ve talked to about Eurovision after getting back this year mentions Poland. I’d say what they did this year was VERY successful.
I loved Jestem and Slavic Girls and both were eternally robbed, so hopefully Poland can do even better this year.
Poland may not do as well as they did in 2014 because its a known fact that countries who had long stints away from eurovision always make a successful comeback in their returning year
Austria (qualified in 2011)
Hungary (Been really successful since their return)
Italy (second in 2011)
Poland (qualified in 2014)
If Czech Republic was to return, I would think they too would qualify (for the first time ever)
Glad Poland is staying put though 🙂
Go Poland! 🙂
They don’t have a chance!
I think Poland has to continue with internal. But amazing news by the way.
