Unfortunately, Emma Marrone finished in a disappointing 21st place in Copenhagen last May, despite being chosen as your favourite Eurovision artist TWICE in the run-up to the competition. However, she hasn’t let her unjust Eurovision placing hold her back, as she performed in Brazil during World Cup season and is preparing for a nationwide tour across Italy this summer. She’s also found time to collaborate with Spanish pop singer David Bisbal on his new track, “Hombre de tu Vida”.

Emma told us to “stay foolish and stay angry” when we met her in May, and we’re wondering whether she’s forgotten her own advice. The usually fierce rock chick is incredibly chilled out and in happy spirits on this new song. Has David given her sleeping pills? Regardless, Emma’s rock roots compliment the piano-rich instrumental and her voice is perfect for this track, even if she’s not your typical Latin jazz queen.

Emma and David have performed this song several times on stage and the crowds have always embraced the unusual pairing. She’s tried something new and it works. Bravo Emma!
