Many of us have had our credit cards at the ready since 1st August to buy our tickets for Junior Eurovision 2014, but it looks like we will have to wait a bit longer.

Public Broadcasting Services, Malta’s national broadcaster, has announced that tickets will go on sale in mid-September. This has also been reported on JuniorEurovision.tv.

Due to the high demand, PBS is restructuring the seating to be able to support all the requests. Consequently, PBS has decided to postpone the sale of tickets to mid-September.

Those of you travelling to Malta in November need not worry. PBS promises that “travellers from abroad can still book their stay in Malta as they will be guaranteed seating.”

In view of the fact that the Malta Eurovision national selection will take place just a week after the Junior Eurovision, block tickets will also be available for all the shows.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place on Saturday 15th November.  The Malta Eurovision Song Contest semi-final will take place on Friday 21st November and the national final on Saturday 22nd November.  The three shows will be held at the former shipyard in Marsa which is currently being converted into a state of the art festival venue.
