Malta’s most popular TV show, Xarabank, has just announced that it will be the platform where PBS will reveal the Malta Eurovision 2015 finalists.

Last year Firelight represented Malta with ‘Coming Home’, successfully making it to the final, but failing to impress Europe once there. Even so, this song is still on my iPhone playlist—and I turn to it at 11pm after a day of running around.

Anywho – back to this year! Despite having no news from Malta as to how many songs were submitted, or who the singers are — we can now rest assured that 3 October will be the day when all our questions will be answered! One of these questions is about Ira Losco, as the rumours have not stopped spreading about Ira being one of the semi-finalists.

The post states that the finalists of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest will be revealed during a special Eurovision-themed Xarabank. It teases us further by saying that on the 3rd of October, we will get to know absolutely everything. We do not exclude that this programme will be used to announce ticketing details for the Junior Eurovision and the Malta Eurovision. The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015, takes place in November 2014, a week after the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014, which will also be held for the first time in Malta.

Xarabank airs on Malta’s National Broadcaster’s channel TVM and it can be streamed live on tvm.com.mt. You will probably not understand a word but it will definitely be worth tuning in to. In the meantime, you can keep yourself updated with our Junior Eurovision News by clicking here.

Calvin and Azeri and Noel – I don’t have the most up to date information on Albania in JESC/ESC as I do not live there anymore but I think that Festivali I Kenges is (unfortunately) going ahead this year and I think that RTSH only intended on withdrawing from JESC for a year, so hopefully we will stay in both events

The commercial that aired in Albania asked for songs-but it did not say anything about Eurovision.

Azeri – while Albania haven’t *technically* confirmed participation, there’s a rather reliable source claiming that they’re soliciting songs for Eurovision.

Azeri – as far as we are concerned, Albania has not yet confirmed its participation. The official and final list is yet to be announced. Keep following wiwibloggs for all the latest JESC news. 🙂
